As the Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to lead the restaurant’s daily operations and develop a strong, dependable team.

You will not simply be assigned a set of shifts and expected to maintain the status quo. You will be involved in hiring, onboarding, scheduling, coaching and improving the performance of the restaurant.

This role gives you the opportunity to strengthen the skills you will need to become a successful General Manager.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Leading opening, closing and manager-on-duty shifts
• Hiring and onboarding hourly team members
• Creating effective work and training schedules
• Coaching employees and providing clear performance feedback
• Developing team members and recognizing strong performance
• Making sure every shift is properly staffed and positioned for success
• Maintaining accurate payroll and employee information
• Protecting cash-handling procedures and financial accountability
• Supporting food quality, service, cleanliness and safety standards
• Resolving guest concerns professionally
• Identifying operational problems and putting solutions into action
• Supporting a positive, respectful and accountable work environment

• Three or more years of restaurant or retail management experience
• Experience leading hourly employees in a fast-paced environment
• Confidence opening, closing and running shifts independently
• Strong coaching, communication and problem-solving skills
• The ability to manage changing priorities without losing focus
• Experience with scheduling, onboarding or employee documentation
• Comfort learning and using restaurant technology
• Availability to work days, evenings and weekends
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• A valid driver’s license

New restaurant opening experience is helpful but not required.
